Home renovations and extensions, finished to the same standard.

Domestic renovations, extensions and alterations across Devon and the South West. Our main focus is commercial fit-out, but JLG takes on home projects too, from reworking and extending rooms to forming en-suites, building fitted wardrobes and opening up spaces, bringing the same line-and-level drylining and joinery standard to a house as we do to a commercial floor.

01 / What's included

Every renovations & extensions job, run to a main-contractor standard

Scope scales with the project, but these are the parts of any renovations & extensions package JLG covers as standard across Devon and the South West.

S/01

Renovations & Alterations

Reworking existing rooms and layouts, from moving and forming walls to new ceilings, structural openings and making-good, to bring a tired or awkward space up to a proper standard.

S/02

Extensions

The internal build to single-storey and rear extensions, from blockwork lining and drylining through ceilings and finishes, so the new space reads as part of the house rather than an add-on.

En-Suites & Shower Rooms

New en-suites and shower rooms formed from scratch, with stud walls, moisture-resistant boarding and first-fix co-ordination, tanked and left ready for the tiler and the sanitaryware.

S/04

Fitted Wardrobes & Joinery

Made-to-measure built-in wardrobes, storage and fitted joinery, framed and trimmed into alcoves and around chimney breasts, with the door style chosen to suit the room.

Common questions, plainly answered

Do you take on domestic work as well as commercial?

Yes. Our main focus is commercial fit-out, but we also carry out domestic renovations, extensions and alterations across Devon and the South West, run to the same line-and-level standard as our commercial jobs.

Can you form a new en-suite or shower room?

Yes. We build the stud walls, moisture-resistant boarding and first-fix co-ordination for a new en-suite or shower room, tanked and left ready for the tiler and the sanitaryware, as shown in our recent work.

Do you build fitted wardrobes and storage?

Yes. We build made-to-measure fitted wardrobes and storage into the room, framed and trimmed into alcoves and around chimney breasts, with the door style chosen to suit the space.

Do you handle the whole renovation or just the trades?

Either. We can run a renovation from strip-out through to finish, co-ordinating the other trades, or come in for a specific package such as the drylining, ceilings or the fitted joinery.

What areas do you cover for renovations?

Homes across Devon, Somerset and the wider South West, within our usual 80-mile radius from Tiverton. Send us a few photos and a rough idea and we will take a look.
